Ian Philp

Former National Director of Older People’s Health and Care in England, Professor Philp was a Physician in the NHS in England, Head of a successful academic department at the University of Sheffield and Advisor to national governments and the World Health Organisation. He founded Age Care Technologies to provide digital tools to enable uptake at scale of methods developed through 35 years of international research to help older people report threats to health, independence and well- being and connect them to support. He is the co-Founder of ACT-Good China which is leading adaptation and implementation of the use of ACT tools in China to promote healthy ageing. He was made a Commander in the Order of the British Empire for services to older people in the Queen’s birthday honours list, 2009.
