2026 Silver Economy Forum:
Healthy Longevity for Economic Growth
We are excited to announce that our next Silver Economy Forum will be in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on November 11 & 12, 2026
Save The DateThe Global Coalition on Aging is partnering with the Malaysian Healthy Ageing
Society (MHAS), a non-profit organization that fosters and coordinates
education, study and research in ageing in Malaysia, for this year’s Silver
Economy Forum being held at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Center.
Themed "Healthy Longevity for Economic Growth," SEF26 will convene senior leaders from business, government, civil society, multilateral organizations, academia, and media to seize on one of the defining economic opportunities of our time: the age-demographic shift. People are living longer and there are more than 2 billion people over 60 — with the right investments and policies, we can maximize the social, fiscal, and commercial benefits of this profound demographic shift.
Longevity is an asset. When people remain healthier for longer nations can
reduce healthcare and long-term care costs, increase workforce participation,
and unlock new engines of productivity and growth. And yet, the issue is more
than longevity – it is population aging - lower birthrates throughout Asia are combining to have an upward pressure on all systems. It is the combined impact of these two forces that necessitates that countries and businesses move forward to unlock the silver economy.
