Vivienne Parry OBE is a writer, broadcaster, and facilitator with an exceptionally broad portfolio. Trained as a scientist, she is renowned for making complex medical and scientific topics accessible and engaging to diverse audiences.
As a highly sought-after facilitator, she has chaired and hosted major international events for the G7 and the World Economic Forum, while being equally at ease working with patient groups or grassroots organisations such as the Women’s Institute.
Her writing career has included columns for The Times, The Guardian, and the News of theWorld. On television, she fronted the UK’s iconic science programme Tomorrow’s World, and she has presented hundreds of programmes for BBC Radio 4.
Vivienne has also made a distinguished contribution to public service. She is Vice-Chair ofCouncil at University College London and has served on numerous boards, including theMedical Research Council and UK Research & Innovation (UKRI), the organisation responsible for the strategic allocation of the UK’s £8 billion annual research and innovation budget.
Her career has been as varied as it is distinguished: she worked alongside Diana, Princess ofWales, for 12 years; was the long-standing agony aunt for Good Housekeeping; and spent over a decade as Head of Public Engagement at Genomics England.
