Sri Nadarajah is the Founder and Chairman of the Venus Group and the founder of Great British Construction, an international development platform focused on infrastructure, urban regeneration, and strategic land development projects.
Over more than two decades Sri has originated and structured complex international ventures, forming partnerships with governments, institutional investors, and major global construction groups to unlock development opportunities at significant scale across Europe and Asia. His work focuses on structuring international partnerships that combine institutional capital, government collaboration, and large scale master planning to deliver complex regeneration and infrastructure programmes.
In early 2003, Sri established one of the first foreign investment and construction companies operating in China, securing infrastructure projects valued at approximately US $98.8 million within three months of registration. This initiative led to partnerships with several major Chinese state owned enterprises, including China SFECO, a group with assets exceeding US $5 billion, positioning the business to capitalise on favourable market pricing and early stage infrastructure opportunities. He negotiated and executed a strategic joint venture with Shanghai Construction Group and the Shanghai Institute of Architectural Design and Research, both entities owned by the Shanghai Municipal Government. Shanghai Construction Group is ranked among the largest construction companies globally and has been listed within the Top 250 Global Contractors.
Sri has also led several major regeneration initiatives in London. Among these was the London River Park concept, a strategic urban regeneration programme along the River Thames with an estimated gross development value of approximately £1.5 billion, which secured £10 million of international investment commitments within two days of its launch, including interest from organisations associated with China Minsheng Investment and the Shriram Group of India, while also providing advisory input to the Greater London Authority in relation to aspects of the proposed development framework.
Alongside his infrastructure and development work, he has overseen the development of a healthcare investment portfolio valued at more than £90 million, with less than 10% debt, while continuing to advise on international master planning initiatives including the Al Ikhlas Care Villages programme in Malaysia, a proposed network of care village developments supported by Malaysian government ministries.
Sri has been engaged in advancing infrastructure development opportunities in Ghana, including proposals for toll road networks and affordable housing programmes structured in partnership with the national pension fund, Broll with $18.8 billion, to support long term national infrastructure investment.
