Dr. Myo Nyein Aung MD MSc PhD is an Associate Professor in the Department of Global Health Research at the Graduate School of Medicine, Juntendo University, Tokyo, Japan. He is also affiliated with the Juntendo Advanced Research Institute for Health Sciences and the Faculty of International Liberal Arts. Dr. Aung is the Principal Investigator of the Digitally Inclusive Healthy Ageing Communities (DIHAC): A Cross-Cultural Study in Japan, the Republic of Korea, Singapore, Thailand, India, Malaysia, Vietnam, Nepal, Belgium and Italy (2021 – 2030), connecting researchers across the globe. Since 2024, he has been invited more than twenty times by the ITU, UN-ESCAP, the World Bank Group, WHO, and international conferences to speak about digital inclusion for older persons, healthy ageing, care for older persons and the digital ecosystem. He served as an international adviser for health system strengthening, service delivery, policy and program addressing population ageing in several low- and middle-income countries, working with USAID JICA and the World Bank Group.
