Monika Schneider is the Director of Global Antimicrobial Resistance Policy at Shionogi, leading global infectious disease policy initiatives and access projects. Before joining Shionogi, Monika was a Managing Associate at the Duke-Margolis Center for Health Policy, where her work focused on incentive mechanisms and payment reform models to encourage development in areas of unmet medical need. Prior to that, she was a Science Policy Analyst at the American Association of Immunologists, working on policies affecting the biomedical research community. Monika received her PhD in microbiology and immunology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She her post-doctoral training at the Sanford Burnham Prebys Medical Discovery Institute.
