Minoru Sasaki

Based in the Silicon Valley office of Nippon Life Global Investors Americas, Inc.(NLGIA), Minoru Sasaki invests in venture capital funds and startups and develops strategies for new business creation for Nippon Life across healthcare, aging, and other insurance-related sectors. Prior to joining NLGIA, he worked at Japan's Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) from 2014, where he helped promote the growth and globalization of Japan's healthcare industry and startup ecosystem. He holds an MBA from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and bachelor's and master's degrees in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the University of Tokyo.
