Lynne has been Chief Executive of Bury Council since 2023 and Place-Based Lead for NHS GM Services in Bury. She has led corporate services at Director level and above for a number of local authorities and is an LGA Peer Reviewer, providing informal guidance and support to other local authorities across the country.
A Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development, Lynne is a people specialist by profession. She has operated as HR Director for a number of local authorities and for the National Crime Agency and is active in her national professional network.
Lynne is passionate about equalities and inclusion. She is currently the GM Portfolio lead for Equalities and Safer/Stronger and was formerly vice-chair of the Together Trust, a leading NE disabilities charity, and led the development of the Bury strategy – LET’S do it! – a prevention and community engagement strategy to improve outcomes for local people.
