
Emiko Masaki is a Principal Health Specialist at the Asian Development Bank (ADB) with nearly 20 years of experience in policy advisory, program development, implementation, and regional cooperation in health and social sectors in Asia. She leads ADB’s initiatives on nutrition, healthy ageing and long-term care from the Human and Social Development Sector Office of ADB. Before joining ADB, Emiko served as a Senior Health Economist at the World Bank where she was engaged in results-based financing operations and analytical work including health financing, public financial management, domestic resource mobilization, and health taxes in Asia and the Pacific. Emiko holds a Ph.D. and master’s degree in the field of health economics and demography from the University of California, Berkeley.
