Du Peng

Prof Du Peng is former vice-president of Renmin University of China; vice-president, China Association of Gerontology and Geriatrics. 

He has been the board member of HelpAgeInternational (2008-2016) and board member of United Nations International Institute on Ageing (since 2008), he served as the chair of International Association of Gerontology and Geriatrics Asia/Oceania Region from 2009 to2013.

His research interests are population ageing and ageing policies. His publications include The Process of Population Ageing in China, The Value of Older Persons, Who will support the Older Persons, Ageing Issues and Policies in EU Countries, Disabled Persons and Their Social Protection in Rural China, China’s Population in the 21st Century, China’s 20 Years in Ageing Society: Achievements, Challenges and Prospects, etc.
